Social Media 101
5 Helpful Tips for Social Media
1. Dedicate time to learn how social media works
With the large amount of social media marketing tools available, choosing what is most valuable to you and becoming an expert at it will help you in the long run.
2. Listen to your customers
The only way you are going to know what your customers want is by listening to what they have to say. It's important that you use your social media platforms as an extension of your customer service and to listen to what your customers have to say, positive or negative.
3. Use automation to create consistency
You don't want to blast out promotional offers all day long, that's how you'll lose all your followers. However, using social media as a way to consistently communicate with your customers will create a sense of trust and professionalism from your business to your customer.
4. Engage with and delight your audience
Actively engaging with your audience will turn them into satisfied customers. You can't just post and then walk away from the computer -- the most important step comes from communication and interaction with your social media following.
5. Track and measure everything
You'll never know the success of a social media marketing campaign if you don't measure the results. It's important to benchmark your goals and determine if your efforts are paying off, or if you need to make changes to your strategy to see results.
